About Little England
LITTLE ENGLAND was started by Peter Timmins who is from England. He has lived in Japan for 15 years. Peter works for a private education establishment in Japan and runs his own private Ekiwa. Peter realized that many people spend a lot of time studying English but never have the chance to put into practice in a practical way what they learned. Peter Purchased the cabin in Yamanashi prefecture by Lake Saiko to start a small adventure center for families and groups to be able to practice English in a fun and relaxed environment. Visitors can enjoy Kayaking, cycling, mountain walking and some traditional English cooking for those who want to try.
As a student at Little England you will have the freedom to practice your English in a friendly and relaxed environment. The purpose of your visit is for you to try out your newly acquired English. Whilst at Little England you will have the opportunity to enjoy some new adventures. Weather and season permitting you can try Kayaking, cycling around Lake Saiko, mountain walking (20 minutes to a local view point) and cooking with an English Chef. You may wish to choose to simply relax on the deck and watch the clouds drift over Mt Fuji.
During the winter Activities are limited but we still offer the opportunity to come to Little England and enjoy sitting by a real fire whilst watching the ever changing view of Mt Fuji. Ski-ing weekends are also available, Fuji Ten ski resort is just 20 minutes away.
Guest are expected to join in at making meals, after all this is where a lot of conversation takes place, as the saying goes all the best parties end up in the kitchen. Don't be afraid to try. Making mistakes is a bonus as this is what helps us learn.
We offer accommodation at lake Saiko.
